On September 27th, 2007, Netplay television PLC posted pretax losses on smaller profits and said that it will continue to focus its attention on investing in state-of-the art systems, people and television shows for the rest of the year.
The company believes that it can be the bedrock for stronger revenue growth for next year. Netplay said that their Live roulette was experiencing good growth with month to month wagers growing slowly but surely and the gross wager last August exceeded 15 million stg, a 440% improvement since the buyout.
For the first six months until June 30th, 2007, the British smallcap interactive gambling organization achieve a pretax loss of 1.6 million from a profit of 521,000 stg last year on profits that dropped by more than half to 2.62 million stg from 6.14 million last year.
Netplay commented that they are currently working on additional games to increase their earnings. Netplay also said that they were in the process of studying deals with different broadcasters for their BigBoxBingo offering, which will result in bigger expenses for the company in the second half of the year.
